Lifts and reshapes the breasts to restore firmness and a more youthful, elevated silhouette.

  • A breast lift, also known as mastopexy, is a surgical procedure designed to raise and reshape the breasts by removing excess skin and repositioning the breast tissue. The aim is to restore firmness, improve contour, and elevate the nipple–areola complex to a more youthful and aesthetically pleasing position. The procedure enhances the natural shape without significantly altering breast size.

  • A breast lift is recommended for individuals experiencing sagging or loss of breast firmness due to factors such as pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight fluctuations, aging, or genetics. It is ideal for those who wish to improve breast shape, position, and symmetry while maintaining their natural volume.

  • There is no specific ideal age for a breast lift. The primary consideration is overall health and the presence of breast ptosis (sagging). Many patients undertake this procedure in their 30s, 40s, or later, especially after completing pregnancies or breastfeeding.

  • During the procedure, incisions are made around the areola and may extend vertically down the breast or along the inframammary fold, depending on the degree of lifting required. Excess skin is removed, breast tissue is reshaped, and the nipple–areola complex is repositioned to a higher, more natural location.

These incisions will form scars that gradually fade over time and are usually placed in natural breast contours for increased discretion.

  • A breast lift is performed under general anesthesia to ensure comfort and safety throughout the procedure.

  • The procedure generally takes between 1.5 and 2.5 hours, depending on the techniques used and the extent of lifting required.

  • Most breast lift surgeries are performed as outpatient procedures, allowing you to return home on the same day. In certain cases, an overnight stay may be recommended.

  • The procedure is carried out in accredited hospitals in Greater London, all of which meet rigorous standards of sterilization, equipment quality, and patient safety.

  • Most patients can resume light daily activities within one week. Swelling, tightness, and mild discomfort are common in the early stages and gradually improve. Full recovery—including the return to exercise and strenuous activities—typically occurs within 4 to 6 weeks.

  • Post-operative care includes wearing a supportive surgical bra, avoiding heavy lifting, sleeping on your back during early recovery, and keeping the incision sites clean. Following all prescribed medication and attending follow-up appointments is essential for monitoring healing and ensuring the best aesthetic result.

  • The first step is to schedule a consultation. During this appointment, I will evaluate your breast anatomy, degree of sagging, and overall goals to determine whether a breast lift is the most appropriate option. I will also explain the expected outcomes and all relevant details about the procedure.

  • According to UK Medical Council guidelines, healthy patients without significant medical history may not require extensive pre-operative tests. However, additional exams such as blood tests or breast imaging may be recommended depending on individual health factors.

  • The cost of a breast lift varies depending on the degree of lifting required, surgical technique, anesthesia, and hospital fees. The total typically includes hospital charges, anesthetist’s fees, surgeon’s fees, and nursing support.

On average, prices range from £5,000 to £8,000. During your consultation, you will receive a personalised quote based on your specific needs and desired outcome.

If you are considering this surgery and would like personalised guidance, a tailored treatment plan, and an accurate quote, I am available to schedule a consultation. Every patient is unique, and together we will evaluate your expectations to ensure a safe, natural, and long-lasting breast lift result.
